Happy Birthday!

Hello Everyone!
Today I have a birthday card that I created for my grand-mother,
She is celebrating her 100th Birthday today and it is very exciting!

I used an image called Zoe celebrates from Make it Crafty.
I colored it with my Copic markers and a Signo white gel pen for accents.

Copic Colors used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E21, R20
Hair: E53, E35, Y21
Top: G00, 0
 Pants, Bow & shoes: Y21, R29, 0

The dies I used are from My Favorite Things Dienamics, zig zag rectangle dies, and from Sizzix circle nest dies.

Card base and card stocks are from Panduro.
I had a lot of fun creating this card and I hope you like it!
My grand-mother is still very healthy (knock on wood) but unfortunately she has dementia…
So she talks, behaves and thinks that she is a young girl,
It is a little bit sad because she doesn’t recognize us but we look at the positive side, we get to learn a lot about her life as a young girl and as I said she is very healthy!
And that is why I created this card for her,
that is exactly how she feels right now!

A picture of me and her when I was 4 years old (well that was 40 years ago…)
And a picture of my grandma 7 years ago

Thank you for visiting,
xoxo Olga

  1. Wowzers, 100 years! Now that's something to celebrate! So sorry your grandmother has dementia. It's frustrating for those around her but she is happy and doesn't realize anything is wrong. Enjoy your time with her, Olga, even if she doesn't know you. I hope she had a nice day and I'm sure your card brightened it even more. Love your colouring – the hair looks amazing! I enjoyed your photos!

  4. What a celebration to be able to share in – and I love your attitude to your grandmother's dementia, of being able to learn of her early years. A wonderful card made with so much care and thought as to what she would like, Olga.
    Blessings
