Hello Everyone!
I celebrated my Birthday last week on Friday 21st and this card was given to me by my husband.
The gorgeous digital image and happy birthday sentiment are both from Make it Crafty. The image is called Breezy Buttercup.
So my husband asked me a while ago to make a card for the birthday of one of his co-workers wife. He said to me that she loves Tulips and has long hair, and if I could make a card with these two elements on it.
So I looked in my stash of images and I remembered that I won this image some time ago so I colored it and created the card.
I gave him the card to bring to his co-worker.
And on Friday afternoon when he came back from work he surprised me with this card! I was so excited that this card came back to me because I spent so much time coloring the hair!
And yes I love Tulips and I always wanted to have long hair! but I never thought about it while making the card, because when I work on a commission I try to think from the customer’s point of view.
I printed the image and the sentiment on Neenah Solar white card stock and colored it with my alcohol markers.
I created the card base out of the same card stock and colored with the markers the upper and bottom strip of the card with the same colors as the tulips.
I then adhered the image on the card base using foam tape to add some dimension.
So there is my card for today!
I enjoyed so much coloring and creating this card and I hope you like it!
Thank you for visiting!
xoxo Olga

Stunning work on the hair…not always an easy part of an image to color. How clever & cute of your husband to commission you to do your own card! I like that! It's a beautiful card and a lovely story. Sorry to hear you've been ill, and hope you're feeling so much better. Be careful to recover completely – DH has had a couple of relapses from his 'flu episode'. TFS & Hugs
