Fluffy Coffee Besties DT card

Hello everyone!

I would like to welcome my new follower Cvanoorschot, unfortunately I can’t give a blog link. Please leave me a comment so I can find you, thank you so much for joining me!

Today I made my DT card with a My Besties Img018 Fluffy Cafe  from Sherri Baldy.

We have a challenge at the Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge Blog that runs for the second week and is “Anything goes option Lace and/or ribbon”.
Come join and play with us as we have some great prizes for the winners!

I printed my image on watercolor paper and colored it with my inktense pencils.
I would like to talk about using watercolors on printed images. I have noticed that if I let my images “dry” after printing them for 24 hours they don’t bleed when I use watercolors. I try not to use to much water, I personally use a waterbrush so I can control the amount of water. I hope that is a helpful tip.
I used a paper doily as a stencil and sponged distress ink on my card base so I have the illusion of lace on my card.
I fussy cut my image and adhered it with foam tape on my card.
I used two ribbons and some pearls scattered around to finish off my card.

So there is my card for today.

I really enjoyed making it and I hope you like it!
Thank you for visiting,
xoxo Olga

  3. Such an adorable card! I love your colouring! I am jealous that you are able to watercolour on your printed images. I have let mine dry for over a week, also tried a heat tool, still the ink runs. You are lucky! Mine is Dell/Lexmark inkjet – what brand to you have? Also I love how you ink-blended with the doily – brilliant idea! I must try this! Gorgeous pearls too!

  4. What a cheeky & happy image – love the hot colors of this babe! Especially her hair treatment. Wish my printers would handle w/color paper! Love the delicate doily (thought it was a 'for real one' until I read the post!) and the feminine embellies you've added to compliment this lady. Well done! TFS & Hugs
