Graffiti Valentines card

Hello everyone,
I would like to welcome my two new followers Shirley Anne from Stamping for Joy and Maritza Rios from Arte con Papel, Madera e Hilos. Please visit their blog, they are wonderful and so inspiring! Thank you so much ladies for joining me!
For my card today I used a digital stamp from Kenny K Stamps and I have used the “Mad Skillz” Girl singer and rapper. I was lucky to get her for free last week.

When I saw this image I immediately knew that I wanted to put her in front of a Graffiti wall. LOL
And since Valentines Day is approaching I wanted to make her sing about love. I colored her with my Inktense pencils, I used clear wink of stella around her eyes and the microphone, I added glossy accent on the brand of her hat, her armband and some spots on her snickers.
I used gold glitter on the microphone and very small purple rhinestones on her belt.

So I printed the sentiment that is from Make it Crafty and you can find it Here and  I used my Versamark clear pen around the letters and then I heat embossed the sentiment with clear embossing powder. I then used my watercolors to make splatters on the watercolor paper, I also colored the words to try and make it look like a graffiti wall.

Finally I matted the watercolor paper onto black card stock and adhered it on to purple card base, I also added two thin strips of black card stock on the top and bottom of the card. And I used foam squares to adhere the image on the card, to give some dimension.

So there is my card for today.
I really had a lot of fun making it and I hope you like it!
Thank you for visiting,
xoxo Olga

  2. What a clever way to present this fun image. The graffiti wall is perfect to show off all these neon bright colors, and what a sense of 'movement' to this card. As Darnell says, it ROCKS! TFS & have a great weekend.
